Cookie Dough

Well, I am counting calories. I haven't done that one in a while. I figure, I have done most everything else, why not this one again. Or like Leann says, "Push myself away from the table". Or what my friend Lindsay at work advised "sew my lips shut, for more than one reason". So sweet, that one. Anyway, so I was counting those calories out today and I got to the chocolate chip cookie dough I ate. I was making cookies for my friends the Watts , who will be coming home from China soon. So, here is the dilemma. Does the cookie dough count? I was doing something nice, right? Well a cookie should count, but cookie dough? I know I know it can't count its not in my book, its not really a cookie yet! I'm sticking with that one. I wonder why I don't lose weight?hmmmmm.

St. Louis

For those of you who have not visited the show me state, it is quite an enjoyable experience. Seeing Buddy, Leann and Danny was, of course, the highlight. Their new rental home is nice, in a nice neighborhood, about 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. They are always the most gracious of hosts. I am reminded once again why we do not have cable television. We would all have to pry ourselves away, or maybe just show some discipline.

We first visited the Arch. We even talked Uncle Buddy into going up with us. The kids did great. It was very busy, a holiday weekend and a rival footbal game in town. We hung out by the Mississsippi, had a snack and played some football. It was a beautiful night, fun with the family. Had pizza when we got back.
Joe and Buddy got up and played in a golf scramble while we relaxed at home, watched tv and walked the dog. We then went to the Science Museum. It was free, and it was very cool. Well worth the trip. All of the kids liked it. It was very interactive and educational. We came home and had a cookout and played around the house some more.
Monday we got up and Joe and Buddy played tennis and the kids played at the park with Aunt Leann. I stayed home with Amy. Very relaxing weekend.
For anyone looking for a cheap vacation, try St. Louis. Many free attrations, not too far from home. Just a nice city.
Aaron wrote a paper on it for school this week, precious.

school sweet school part 2

We have 3 sick kids. Amy with a sinus infection, ear ache and general grouchies. Andrew with a fever, headache and sore throat(negative strep). Aaron with a sore throat and general orneriness. Annie feels fine, hopefully she stays that way. I hope we get more sleep tonight.
Last night Andrew was my clock "it's 4:20 mom, it's 4:22 mom, look it's 4:44 mom!" UGH! Motrin kick in finally I thought. It was a long day at work. Everyone is in bed now though, and I am headed there soon.
On top of it all, we caught another raccoon.

School sweet School (Not)

Hey all! Whats up??? Just wanted to check in with ya! I started school on August 13th, 2008. I do not like that date. As some of you know, I was separated from all my friends.. sad, i know. Anyways, I'll get through it. I'm really bored in the classes because its all review. In math, we have homework everyday. Blah... I'm just not a school person. Some people wake up in the morning, hop outta bed and say "YES!!!! ANOTHER DAY OF SCHOOL!!!". That is definitely not me. Sounds more like my brother. I wake up in the morning, 6am to be exact, try to sleep for a few more minutes and then, unhappily, drag myself to the bathroom to get ready. Not a terrific start on a new day. If I were president I would make all schools start AFTER it becomes light outside. Not before. Or in between. After.

When I get to heaven I'm going to ask him, "Why weren't we all born smart?? So we didn't have to go to school??" Of course when I said this to my mom and dad they said, "But then you wouldn't of met you friends!!" So I added, "..and go to a social school where we have topics to talk about. And all day we just play with our friends instead of work! And when we graduate social school then we start jobs." Makes sense to me. Agreed???

But, as luck would have it, that didn't happen. I wasn't born a human genius sadly. Oh well. We'll have to see if I can survive the next 5 years of Middle School and High School. and then 4+ years of college...sighhh...... only 9-10+ years before I am officially done with school. But then, of course, there's jobs. Sighh...

Well, I with ttyl!!!!l ('talk to ya later' for those of you that don't know texting lingo)

Aaron's school shopping

Here is Aaron's school shopping strategy.
Rearrange T-shirt drawer. "I forgot I had that one"
Saves me lots of money, he is happy. Win win.
Really, You buy the kid a new pair of shoes every few months and he is good to go. Low maintenance. Now my girls on the other hand.... we are off to old navy for $7 jean day.
